A new banknote of Rs. 75 on Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day

The State Bank of Pakistan plans to issue a new note of Rs 75 denomination to make the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence this year.

The federal government has authorized the design of new 75-rupees banknote to commemorate Pakistan’s Platinum Jubilee. The note will be printed on a local paper and will feature the anniversary dates of both Pakistan’s independence on 14 August 1947 and the founding of the State Bank of Pakistan on 1 July 1948.

Previously in 1997 a commemorative note of Rs. 5 was issued to mark the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence.
