Coin and Stamp designs for the historic achievement of Arshad Nadeem in 2024 Paris Olympics.

Arshad Nadeem has rendered an historic achievement for Pakistan by securing the Gold medal in the Men's Javelin Throw at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His exceptional performance, marked by an impressive throw of 92.97 meters, not only underscores his remarkable athletic prowess but also positions him as a symbol of national pride. This milestone signifies a new era in Pakistan's athletic history and serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes across the nation.

In the realm of sports, remarkable accomplishments serve not only as milestones for individual athletes but also as sources of national pride. I firmly believe that the issuance of a stamp and a coin commemorating a recent groundbreaking achievement in Pakistani sports is both warranted and essential. This achievement, which includes the breaking of an Olympic record, undoubtedly marks a historic moment in the annals of our sporting history.

Commending such significant achievements through the issuance of a stamp and coin serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it immortalizes the athlete's contribution to the sport and inspires future generations to strive for excellence. Secondly, it fosters a sense of unity and national pride among citizens, reinforcing the notion that Pakistan is progressively making its mark on the global sporting stage.

I have developed proposed designs for both the coin and the stamp, which I believe encapsulate the spirit of this landmark achievement.

Coin Design for International Day of the Markhor

On May 2nd this year, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution, sponsored by Pakistan and eight other countries, proclaiming May 24th as the International Day of the Markhor. It recognizes that preserving the Markhor, which was categorized as “near threatened” in 2014, and its natural habitat is an ecological imperative, given the animal’s role in the overall ecosystem.

Pakistan Post in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan issued stamps showcasing Kashmir Markhor to conserve and protect the Markhor population and their habitats in the country.

In my opinion, the issuance of a commemorative coin would further honor and celebrate this day, encapsulating its importance for present and future generations. A well-designed commemorative coin can capture the essence of the occasion it commemorates. For this particular day, I propose the following design that integrates symbolic elements reflective of its significance.

Happy Independence Day - Yaum-e-Azadi Mubarak

As I extend warm wishes on this Independence Day, let us strive to honor our heritage by working towards a prosperous and harmonious Pakistan. The spirit of independence calls upon each of us to foster patriotism and to engage actively in the betterment of our society, ensuring that the sacrifices of our forebears continue to resonate through the generations to come.

Happy Independence Day to all who cherish the essence of Pakistan in their hearts.

.پاکستان کو اپنے دلوں میں عزیز رکھنے والے تمام لوگوں کو یوم آزادی مبارک

Coin Design for Youm-e-Takbeer

Youm-e-Takbeer, celebrated annually on May 28, holds profound significance in the national consciousness of Pakistan. This day marks the anniversary of the Chaghi-I and Chaghi-II nuclear tests conducted in 1998, which not only asserted Pakistan's position as a sovereign state but also cemented its status as a nuclear power on the global stage. The successful execution of these tests was a monumental achievement in the nation’s history, reflecting both technological advancement and strategic deterrence.

Coin Design for the Golden Jubilee of Allama Iqbal Open University

This month, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) proudly commemorates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of educational service and innovation in Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has acknowledged this significant milestone by issuing commemorative stamps and a souvenir sheet on July 24, 2024.

In my opinion, the issuance of a commemorative coin would further honor and celebrate the contributions of AIOU. Below is the design of the coin I have prepared for the occasion.

By issuing a commemorative coin, the Government of Pakistan would recognize the significant role that AIOU has played in transforming the educational landscape of the country. It would serve as a tangible reminder of the university's legacy and its continuing dedication to empowering individuals through education. This coin would not only appeal to collectors but also inspire pride among alumni and current students, fostering a deeper connection to the institution's heritage.

Stamp Design for the 70th Anniversary of Pakistan International Airlines

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in 2025, I propose a commemorative set of 25 stamps, each illustrating a distinct aircraft from PIA's illustrious history. This design not only honors the legacy of the airline but also serves as a testament to the evolution of aviation in Pakistan.

The overarching theme of the stamp set features a clean and simple aesthetic, characterized by a backdrop of a vibrant sky adorned with fluffy clouds. This serene setting symbolizes the essence of air travel and evokes a sense of freedom and adventure. Prominently displayed in the background is the Pakistani flag, which reinforces the national pride associated with PIA and its role as the flag carrier of Pakistan.

Each stamp will showcase an aircraft from PIA's fleet, meticulously illustrated in the livery representative of its respective time period. This approach not only highlights the diversity of the airline's operations but also provides a visual narrative of its technological advancements and design evolution over the decades. Accompanying each illustration will be the name of the aircraft, ensuring that collectors and aviation enthusiasts can easily identify and appreciate the historical significance of each model.

This stamp design serves as a tribute to PIA's remarkable journey, encapsulating the spirit of innovation and resilience that has defined the airline since its inception. By celebrating its 70th anniversary through this artistic medium, we honor not only the aircraft and their histories but also the countless individuals who have contributed to the airline's legacy. Ultimately, this stamp set will stand as a commemorative piece, preserving the rich history of Pakistan International Airlines for future generations to admire and cherish.

A souvenir sheet is also designed for the occassion.

Celebrating 70 Years of Excellence: A Commemorative Coin for Pakistan International Airlines

In 2025, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will proudly commemorate seventy years of its distinguished service in the aviation industry. This 70 years milestone represents not only the passage of time but also the countless achievements and contributions made by the airline to both the domestic and international sectors. It is an occasion deserving of recognition and celebration at various levels, and I contend that the issuance of a commemorative coin would encapsulate the essence of this remarkable event.

A commemorative coin would serve as a tangible memento symbolizing the journey and legacy of PIA over the past seven decades. Coins, as historically significant artifacts, are often used to memorialize pivotal events, and their issuance can foster a sense of national pride and appreciation within the community. Such a coin would serve to honor PIA's role in enhancing Pakistan's connectivity with the world, promoting tourism, and facilitating cultural exchanges. It would be a physical representation of PIA’s unwavering commitment to providing quality service to its passengers and maintaining high operational standards.

Additionally, the creation of a commemorative coin would not only acknowledge PIA’s accomplishments but also inspire other institutions to aspire for excellence. As PIA continues to navigate the challenges of the aviation sector, this coin would stand as a testament to resilience and progress, embodying a legacy that future generations can aspire to emulate.

I have taken the initiative to design several conceptual references for the coin, reflecting PIA's rich history, values, and commitment to service. I urge the management of PIA to actively engage with the Government of Pakistan to pursue the issuance of this commemorative coin. By doing so, PIA would secure a lasting tribute to its success while simultaneously encouraging national pride and a focus on excellence in our ever-evolving travel landscape.

The logo for the 70th anniversary is designed keeping in mind this milestone which embodies the evolution of PIA, illustrating its growth from humble beginnings to its current stature in the aviation industry.
